PONYVILLE NEWS CRAWL: THE CREATOR SPEAKS; ECHO EFFECT ADDED

Hello, Ponyville readers!

It's clear by now that I do not know what the future holds for the Ponyville comic. I don't want you to assume that this prolonged hiatus is writing on the wall, that the comic has gone the way of Roo's youth. ponyville is not yet snarling at passers-by, weilding a broom, losing its teeth.

Also clear, what's keeping me from updating is not easily circumvented. My creative energy and time has to go towards finishing school with my music degree, and a coming summer internship. (Couldn't I intern in Ponyville? But on second thought...)

As you know, I've been conflicted about whether it's best to give the comic the mercy killing that Roo never got. But I've decided that's not going to happen. I think I can figure out a way to let the comic evolve into something enjoyable and manageable.

I've discussed, with friends of mine who create comics themselves, doing an overhaul of the PV format. Perhaps a refocusing of storylines, but certainly a change to how the comic looks. It will likely get a bit sketchy (literally!), but I welcome this, and hope it won't be a jarring change for you.

I want to sincerely thank you all for sticking with Ponyville. Unless the majority of journals still watching the comic are now abandoned, many of you are still here, and I am encouraged by this!

Who has the best costume?

*Comments greatly appreciated! I am not Trick or Treating tonight, but I would be if people handed out comments instead of candy! Although that might get your house egged by kids, but screw'em! ::knocks on your door::

It's a bird! It's a plane! No, wait, it's something entirely less expected!

PLEASE READ the previous strip before reading today's! Today's joke is completely dependant on having the last one fresh in your mind. CLICK HERE FOR LAST STRIP.

(Updating with the next part of a joke nearly a month after the last isn't exactly the way to go, is it. ;))

*As always, comments and feedback are very much appreciated. They are like seeds in a garden. Or? Bacon.

Make sure to read the last strip before reading this one, since they are connected. :) Now that it's summer-abouts, I hope to have more time to get Ponyville back on a real schedule again! Each strip takes a day's work, so it gets tricky, but it's worth it! :D

*As always, comments and feedback are very much appreciated. As Patrick Henry once said: "Give me comic comments, or give me death!" Or, wait..

:D I'm so glad to be posting a strip again!

*As always, comments and feedback are very much appreciated. Especially after such an obnoxious hiatus! Let your comments be the bridge over my troubled waters. Let your feedback be the spear that slays the troll underneath that bridge.

Commission nonesense:
I am in a bit of money crunch (let's just call that crunch "2006.") I know several people have wanted commissions but couldn't afford them before; if you are interested in a commission, mail me at spoosh @ livejournal.com (or post here) and we can work something out that satisfies us both! :)

Also, I have another custom commission auction up on eBay currently: Check it out if you want colored artwork for cheep!

*As always, comments and feedback are very much appreciated. Like so many zombies, I eat your brains. Except replace "brains" with "comments." Yum.

NEW commission eBay auction, closing tonight!:
Several days ago I listed a second commission auction on eBay, this one with a starting bid of 1 cent. That auction ends today, and is still going for less than I normally charge: Check it out if you want artwork for cheep!

Happy Halloween from Ponyville!

Specific back-strips to read (or re-read) before reading today's include: #21. And that's it. :P

Behind the cut is a list of who's wearing what, in case you can't tell, or live where Planters Peanuts haven't proliferated.

(And as always, comments hugely appreciated. They are like my Halloween candy. I didn't get dressed up and ring your doorbell, nor did I put a flaming bag of poo on your doorstep, but I did post a comic! ::holds out candy sack::)
