*As you know, feedback is important to me. This time I thought I'd try something new! Please do comment if you are compelled to (because directed comments fill my sails!), but if you don't want to comment, yet you still enjoyed the strip, simply clicky the poll. Easy! I do often wonder how many people see the comic but don't comment. :)

Thanks, and thanks for commenting!

You know how National Geographic will often do articles with extreme close-ups of insects? It's not a pretty sight. Roo is the same. ;)

Hee, edible mugs, just like the eatable tea cups in a certain candy movie :3
And sugar being deadly, is that the type of fake sugar put in sugar free things?

Most sugar is fake sugar to some degree, actually. Refined sugar is point, I tells you! So that's refined sugar. I'dactually prefer the fake Splendas and whatnots to the refined sugar that every food manufacturer liberally cooks into their foods.

I filled out the poll, AND commented! I really like this one. I wonder if a third closeup could have shown even more horribleness. (but not at the expense of the four panels!)

You're right, I think. A series of Roos would have been a little more funny.

"...My li'l grenade...?"

In every color of the rainbow. Some, perhaps, with brushable hair.

I'm glad you liked this one! :) That text is part of the WANTED poster for Ki'ono and the monkey. It says: "WANTED: for this, that, and the other, as well as being general meanies. REWARD: personal satisfaction."

LOL! Ah, Halloween fun in Ponyville. Even my zombie icon can't hold a candle to Roo's disgusting resplendence.

I like the simplicity here. Your regular readers probably know Roo well enough to see at least a hint of Minty's punchline coming, but your artwork's what sells this strip. Especially the details on Roo's close-up. I'm not sure if I'm more disturbed by the greenish tongue or the unsightly hairs. ;D

ZOMBIE! RESPLENDENCE!

"but your artwork's what sells this strip."

THANK YOU! Honestly, what inspired this strip was looking at the massive block of text in the last one, and seeing that it wans't too well received. What's the opposite of text? Visuals! What's a strong visual? A rotting corpse. DING DING DING! ::pencil to paper::

"I'm not sure if I'm more disturbed by the greenish tongue or the unsightly hairs. ;D"

I vote tongue, myself. (Is it weird to say I laugh at my own drawing? Because I do. And it's the tongue that gets me).

Thanks Minty! :)

Thanks for the input. :) I like the novelty of the one-panels, because it gives me the chance to deliver a certain kind of joke, but the 4-panels are definately the home-base of Ponyville.

"Good job on making Roo so freaky. XD"

Eek...Boy does 'Roo need some TLC...or plastic surgery...which I'm not sure would help any...since he's probably just creepy by nature. I LOVE how Minty is slowly imitating 'Roo's mannerisms (ie. Broom holding). Minty's making fun of 'Roo..but at the same time he's turining into him! Now THAT'S scary. lol. I laughed so hard when I saw the My L'il Grenades in the background. Too funny! I also find it amusing that Minty is not recoiling in horror, but merely smirking. Could it be that he has become accustomed to 'Roo's crazy ways! Ah! Nice strip this week. Graphically clear, concise and to the point.

"which I'm not sure would help any...since he's probably just creepy by nature"

I think you're right. Roo probably came out of the womb looking something close to what he does now.

Minty has either become desensitized or acclimated, neither of which bodes well for him. ;)

I love your comments. :) They are always filled with interesting insight!

I do often wonder how many people see the comic but don't comment.

Hmm. Judging by your poll, you're only wondering how many see it and like it but don't comment, or there'd be an option B. ;)

Pretty much. ;) The danger here is contrasting the people who clicked the poll again the number of people who have PV friended, which I have to be careful of. Afterall, probably a sizable chunk of the journals listing PV as a friend are by now abandoned, or just don't read regularly.

I am very open to constructive criticism, which is why I have a feedback survey planned for the near future (haven't done one in about a year), but in a simple poll like the one in this post, the criticism wouldn't be constructive. A "didn't like it" option would have left me thinking "Alright, but why?" I don't really care if someone doesn't like the strip unless they tell me why.

HAHAHA! I wonder how much of him is actually, indeed pickled. Perhaps a larger percentage than we'd like to know.

PS - Say what? 'Splain! :p I hope it's not the other way around, because I fear Minty is doomed to the Bulge-Eye.
