[Aug. 18th, 2004|03:00 am] Shenanigans' role was appearant once I got a look at his symbol. I mean, hot air balloon? It's obvious. Shenanigans is the shoddy salesman trying to push his brand of hot air balloon on the Mayor, to be used in the Hot Air Balloon Initiative. Shenanigans is one part carnival ride worker (or "carnie"), and two parts used car salesman. (And let's face it. Best. Name. Ever.) He imagines himself as quite the smoothe talker, and to an extent, he is. Poor Mayor Pie is precisely the naive type that Shenanigans likes to come across. Clearly, Shenanigans can never be allowed to make the sale, else many-a Ponyville citizen would plummet to their deaths in balloon accidents. It'd be a nice story arch for Sparkleworks, though.
