and just for my own amusement: #03 ..wow, that is one sorrily drawn couch.

Neither of the couches look sorrily drawn to me, just different styles... it's so interesting how your style has changed!

Anyway, this is funny. It's hard to get a sense of quick action in a comic strip, and you did it well in the last panel. I'm kinda waiting for the other shoe to drop, though, *lol*...

At the risk of seeming over confident, I'm really pleased with the change. There are plenty of places for future improvement, but for the moment I am pleased. :)

:D Thanks! I wanted to make sure to have the final panel be abother long shot of the couch, so it would show how far he jumped.

It's really nice when people point out things that I had thought out in advance. :D

And look at you, with your snazzy (but soiled) couch and your varying line widths! I love watching the evolution of your style. I also love the way Dash is practically poured onto the couch in the first panels. There's a permanent Dash-shaped dent in the cushions, isn't there?

That's really cool to me. I'm having a lot of fun improving the strips, and getting a great sense of achievement out of just doing the strips in the first place.

There could be. I am unsure of the couch's origins, but I have a feeling it and Dash grew up together. Or grew together. Or whatever.

Hehehe! I like this one a lot. Dash's shading looks great in the first panel.

And your old couch was certainly sorry, but not because of its drawing. I love the off-color cushion.

Your guys have great joints (as in bends in legs). I'm really impressed with your natural sense of where to put them. That's hard for a lot of people to figure out.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to use shading so boldly here, just out of consistancy (the only other strip I've used shading is Ki'ono's debut). But then I tried it out and liked how it looked. I'll be shading more in future strips, I think. It's neat to me that you notcied it, Jean. It makes me really happy when I know you've enjoyed a strip, Comic Connoisseur.

THANK YOU! :D I'm not too pleased with how Dash's arm sort of limps over the back of the couch in panel 4 - I ended up having to tilt him in a more believable way, as I ended up drawing his proportions off in terms of the couch.

It's tricky figuring out how a pony might hold a broom.
